Korean War Veteran In his 82nd year Peacefully passed away at home on November 30, 2016 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Joyce. Dear father of Marilyn Mercer (Danny Wells), Peter Mercer, Trudy (Malcolm) Freake, Faye (Derek) Demaine, Velda (Garry) Hynes, Angela (Nevin) Odd and Mike Mercer. Loving poppy of Travis, Nicholas, Abbey, Dylan, Michael, Crystal, Austin, Michael Jr., Matthew and great-poppy of Maddox and Kendra. Cherished brother of Ray (Effie) Hooder and the late Eric. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and family in Newfoundland.
