Obituary of Florence Marchant

(nee HALL) Born November 16th, 1927 in Bowmanville, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home on September 7, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Mark Marchant, and dear mother of Ron Marchant of Oshawa, ON and Sheila Marchant-Short (Rev. Dr. Wayne Short) of St. John's, NL. Loving Grandmother of Dawn Marchant and Peter Short and loving Great-grandmother of Justice. Cherished Aunt Zemma of Sandy Stel (Sid). Predeceased by her parents Royal & Doris Hall (nee Bruton) and brother Royal Hall. Sister of Madeline Heard (Elgin) and sister-in-law of Murray (Carol) Marchant, June Marchant, Mary Balson and Jean Hall. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and extended family in Canada, England and Wales. Evelyn was a lifetime member of St. John's Anglican Church where she began playing the organ at 11 years of age and teaching Sunday School. She was the recipient of a provincial life membership in the Hospital Auxiliaries Association of Ontario for 35 years of volunteer service at Memorial Hospital. She will be missed by her friends at St. John's Anglican Church and Memorial Hospital Volunteer Association.
