Obituary of Jean Isabel Manson

It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Jean Isabel Manson (White) at the Brampton Civic Hospital on Dec 3, 2012. She will be reunited with her beloved husband of 64 years Bruce Alan (2012). Devoted mother to Joan and the late Susan (2004). Loving grandmother to John, Bryan, Steven and Jennifer. Great-grandmother to Jaxon, Jared and Briana. Sister of the late Mary Fraser and sister-in-law of Audrey Beattie. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean was born in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland and immigrated to Canada at a very early age. The majority of her life was spent in Toronto and Etobicoke with family and friends. Bruce, Jean and family spent 8 years in Pictou Nova Scotia with Bruce being Accountant and Office Manager with Hamilton Biscuits. She was active in the Curling Club and 1st Presbyterian Church in Pictou. Upon retirement, they moved from Etobicoke to Wilmot Creek where they enjoyed 24 years of retirement living on the shores of Lake Ontario. Winters were spent at their home in Lazy River on the Gulf Coast of Florida. In 2010 they made their next move to Greenway Retirement Village in Brampton.

A memorial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated. Memorial donations may be made through Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home 53 Division St. Bowmanville, Ont with whom arrangements have been entrusted.
