After a lengthy illness, peacefully passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, on Wednesday January 7, 2015. Beloved husband and best friend of Hendrika for almost 10 years. Predeceased by his wife Anne Hyde. Loving father of John Jr. (Melanie), Geof and Jody. Stepfather of Paul (Lisa) Raetsen and Peter. Loving grandfather of Adam, Justin, Zachary, Belle, Xander, Carly, Kyra, Nick and Joanna. Dear brother of Danny, Lucy, Blair and Theresa and predeceased by his brother Richard.
