Obituary of Leslie Henderson

July 11, 1927- March 28, 2015 Age 87 years Peacefully passed away on March 28, 2015 in Clearwater, Florida. Former resident of Bowmanville. Loving husband of Mary (predeceased) and Dorothy. Predeceased by his brother , Roy in 2004 and parents, Maud & Albert in 1981. Much loved father of Ian (Sue), Neil (Debbie) and Julie Glover (Scott) who will dearly miss him. Beloved Gramps of Claire, Scott, Taryn, Dale, Brennan, Chad, Madison and great-Gramps of Paige, Tyler, Conor and Caleb. Former employee of Ontario Power Generation and proud member of British 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment, “A” Company 1944- 1947.

Leslie will be cremated and interred at Bowmanville Cemetery alongside Mary. A Celebration of Life will be held at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION, BR. # 178, Bowmanville on Saturday April 18, 2015 from 2-4 pm. All are welcome. A warm and heartfelt thank you goes to the caregivers and staff at Pacifica Senior Living Centre, Clearwater and Suncoast Hospice team members. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada through the NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street Bowmanville, with whom the arrangements have been entrusted.
