Obituary of Janet Barbara Dykeman

In her 82nd year Peacefully passed away at home on Saturday May 12, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Dykeman for 52 years, for whom she was the centre of his life. Devoted mother of Nancy (m. Thomas Einsmann), of Jenifer (m. Christopher Newell and m. Bindo Showan) and of Paul (m. Joanne Kent). Loving grandma of Diana and Emily Einsmann, of Daniel & Adam Newell and Maya Showan and of Sarah, Rachel and Benjamin Dykeman. She was above all devoted to her family for whom she set the standard of a life well-lived.

In accordance with Janet’s preferences, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Gathering will be held at the WILMOT CREEK –WHEELHOUSE on Thursday May 17, 2012 at 2 pm. Janet and her husband, Kenneth, were lifelong educators and learners. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations made to the Dykeman Memorial Scholarship Fund will be gratefully appreciated and may be made through THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, with whom the arrangements have been entrusted.
