Obituary of Robert & Joyce Amos

Robert and Joyce passed away peacefully, within days of each other, in Scarborough. Robert passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Scarborough General Hospital, at the age of 91, and Joyce passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Scarborough Retirement Residence, at the age of 88. They spent their early years together in Bowmanville, and their later years living at Scarborough Retirement Residence. Robert was the father of Gale Amos-Weiterman (Ron) and Barry Amos (Jan). Joyce (nee Gardner), was the mother of Candace McLaren, and Michael Batchelor (Lynn Park). Robert and Joyce will be missed by their many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by Robert’s sister, Madge Guest in England and family, and Joyce’s brother William Gardner (Carol) and her sister Ethel Gardner. Joyce and Robert loved to travel, and travelled all over North America, they wintered in Florida, were members of the Whitby Yacht Club and sailed Lake Ontario. They were a very loving, caring, and adventure filled couple that will be dearly missed by their family and many friends.
