Obituary of Madge Cadan

Veteran of WWII Served in the Women’s Royal Canadian Navy Service Peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother of Jack (Carol), Greg (Beth), Timothy and Sheila (Jim) Gofton. Cherished grandmother of 7; Geoff (Amber), Sarah (Josh) Tancock, Lesley Burcombe, Nick, Lindsey, Adam and Brent Gofton, as well as 4 great grandchildren; Liam, Braedon, Hayley, and Curtis. Sister of Edith Macdonald of Austin, Texas and predeceased by her brother Arthur Beeley.

Service

Visitation will take place at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. Bowmanville on Friday July 19, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Legion service will take place at 6:45 pm and Parish Prayers at 7 pm on Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, Newcastle on Saturday July 20, 2013 at 1 pm . Memorial Donations may be made to Memorial Hospital Foundation – Bowmanville, Clarington Community Care, or a charity of your choice.
