Passed away on Sunday November 3, 2024 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 85 years.

Loving mother of Cindy Marie Kemperle (Jean Luc St.Amant), Linda Hampson (Sean Penhale), and Catherine McInnis as well as Deanna Bottrell who was like a fourth daughter. Loving grandma of Tonya Fern Marie Cadieux (Paul) and Kyle St. Amant. Great grandma to Soren and Lilliana. Sister of the late Janez “Ivan” Berce, the late Joze Kemperle, Stanislava Kemperle, Anica Kemperle, and the late Anton “Tony” Kemperle. She will be missed by her very best lifelong friend Karen Nicholson.

Marija was a longtime loyal chef at Sisters Eatery/Millies and previous owner of Venezia Restaurant, Orono.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday November 17, 2024 at 2pm at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home 53 Division Street Bowmanville.
