Retired General Motors 32+ years

Surrounded by his loving family, Alan (Al) passed away peacefully at home on Saturday January 20^th, 2024 at the age of 89 years.

Beloved husband of Jackie for 63 years.  Loving father of Stephen (Deb) Payne and Tracy (Ian) Parsons.  Cherished grandad of Andrew (Stephanie), Cassidy (Harry), Jordan, Kaitlyn (Rob), Christopher (Keona) and Matthew.  He will be sadly missed by his 8 great-grandchildren.

Alan will always be remembered as a family man who loved spending time with his family and friends.  He had a sense of humour as big as his heart.  He enjoyed woodworking, researching his family tree and cheering on his Tottenham Hotspurs.

Special thank you to the staff at Oshawa Lakeridge Cancer Centre, Nurse Erin and Dr. Aubrey Kassirer for their care and compassion. 

A Celebration of Al’s life will be held Saturday February 10th from 1 - 5 pm at 4 Fernbank Place, Whitby.  Arrangements entrusted to NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street North, Bowmanville.  Memorial Donations may be made to Durham Region Cancer Centre (Lakeridge Health Foundation).
