Obituary of Honey Helena King

Honey Helena King

1939 – 2023

Honey Helena King (Botnick, nee Stern) passed away peacefully and entered into the embrace of her Saviour and Lord on Friday December 8th at the age of 84

Predeceased by her late husband Gerry King, her first husband Morris Botnick, her sister’s Marilyn Tennebaum (nee Stern) and Sandi Stern as well as Honey’s parents, Jack and Lil Stern.  Honey is the cherished sister of Allen Stern.

Dearly loved Mother of 4 boys, Bobby, Danny (Wanetta), Ricky (Debbie) and Joey (Marlene).  Adoring grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren + 2 more great grandchildren on the way.  Cherished step grandmother to 12 and  13 great grandchildren.

Honey was known for her drive, enthusiasm, creativity and passionate pursuits.  She was tenacious and focused on various career moves including the launch of her own business.  Shortly after moving to Prince Edward County and setting up a B&B business, she dove headfirst into the community and spearheaded several local tourists’ campaigns and events.  She loved her local church community and the dear friendships over the years at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Ontario.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.  She told the best stories that mesmerized the young kids.

A celebration of Honey’s life will be held for family and friends on Sunday December 17th at 1 pm at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N.
