Mary Ellen Margaret Tearse

(nee Wreggitt)

Mary Ellen passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 68^th year on May 14, 2023 after her battle with cancer.

She is predeceased by her parents Irma and Gilbert Wreggitt, brother Tom Wreggitt, husband Alexander Tearse and mother-in-law Mary Alexander.  She is survived by her son Joseph, sister-in-law Marjorie, nephew Andrew (Shannon) and her boyfriend Dave.

Mary Ellen was an employee of Lakeridge Health Oshawa for 22 years, where she worked in the locating department.  The family would like to thank the hospital staff and Mary Ellen’s coworkers who were there for her in her time of need.  Mary Ellen had an infectious smile and loved to laugh.  She cared deeply for others and she will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Friday June 23^rd at 1:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society on Mary Ellen’s behalf.  The service will be available to view virtually, please use the link below:
