“Your memory feels like home to me. So, whenever my mind wanders, it always finds its way back to you.” ~ Ranata Suzuki

Born August 20th, 1969, in Scarborough, Ont., to parents Donald and Lois Secord (Wall). He was the youngest of four Secord children and beloved by everyone who crossed paths with him.

Peter married his best friend and partner for life, Colette Secord (Walsh), on October 14th, 1995, and they raised three children together in Bowmanville, Ont.

He was known for always being the first person to help when a friend was in need and always made everyone feel like family. With his hard work, determination, incredible sense of humor and selflessness, Peter touched the lives of everyone he met. Peter loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, sharing stories from his time on the road and, of course, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the San Francisco 49ers.

Peter travelled for many years as a long-distance household mover and was able to meet many people on the road. His stories of beautiful sunsets, gorgeous mountain ranges and the friends he met along the way will always be cherished by those who got to hear them.

Peter lives on through his wife of 27 years, Colette, his son Jordan Secord and his daughters Ashlyn and Meagan Secord. He is also remembered by his two grandchildren Rylynn and Grayson, as the best Poppy they could ever ask for. Finally, Peter is remembered by the family he has met in the moving industry, starting at Lewis Movers for United Van Lines and ending at AMJ North Bay for Atlas Van Lines.

He built a life for his friends and family that is full of beautiful memories, lots of laughter and more love than they could ever need.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at a later date.

We will see you down the road Pete, that’s a big 10-4.

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.” ~ Pericles
