Mom,
I am just getting around to placing a tribute because things have been rather busy. Writing this will no doubt make me cry, so I am glad to be writing this in a quiet place where I can hear the cardinal calling and hear outside sounds that you and I listened to many times before sitting on the covered deck. The hummingbird is back, my tomato plant is doing well and my siblings (your kids) came for breakfast Saturday and we feasted on dad’s rhubarb. Thank you so much for my siblings! I love them and I love that God provided a peaceful exit from earth for you; it means so much. You worked hard, played hard and brought fun, energy, chaos and laughter into any situation. You aged gracefully. I miss you, hearing your voice, our video chats, your autocorrected texts, selfies and pictures you sent, your antics, your responses and quick wit. When I asked, “What are you doing”? You would answer, “Mildewing”; Me: “How did you sleep”? Mom: “With my eyes closed”. Me: How are you feeling”? Mom: “With my hands”. Me: “How was your shower?” Mom: “Wet” ... I should have known better to ask, but of course we laughed every time as if it was the first time hearing it. I am glad you and I got to go to see your Boston Bruins at Toronto Maple Leafs. You hadn’t been to Toronto in a very long time and couldn’t believe the traffic, paved roads and people everywhere. People talked to you and you talked to people in the stadium as if it were a small town. In spite of wearing your Boston Bruins shirt you managed to become fast friends with the row and part of the section around our assigned seating and you didn’t hesitate to share popcorn with the person sitting next to you simply because he offered. Our trip to the East Coast was very memorable. When in Hall’s Harbour, I followed you out on the dock and heard you ask the local what he was doing, he said “going fishing” – you said, “what are you going to catch”? he said, “Mackerel” and immediately you said, “holy mackerel”! I laughed and I could hear him laughing with his friends as we walked along the boardwalk. These are more recent memories, there are so many to share. My first day of kindergarten, I was excited to go knowing Maxine was going in the afternoon. I sat down as asked and the teacher did a role call. I heard Betty-Jean Trimble called, but did not respond. The teacher paused and looked at me and I shook my head no, she continued through the list and returned to me saying, “your name is Betty-Jean Trimble”. Beginning to cry, I said “no, it’s BJ Trimble” and the teacher called my mom who came right away and we both sat in the church parking lot at Maple Grove while she explained my full name, initials and how it all fits together. Courtice South saw Mom and Aunt May on a couple of occasions, but I remember the bottle of bleach scene most - poor Mr. Pitt, Principal at the time. You overcame and survived many challenges, least of which were two ORNGE helicopter rides to Kingston with paramedics Mike and Mike. You never stopped talking, even then lol. Thank God for moms and memories! Rest in peace momma – I love you xo

My Nana Banana...<3
I'm still at a loss for words as none of this still feels real. I always knew this day was coming but never really expected it (if that makes any sense). I've heard so many stories the past week that make this easier and bring some happiness to this sad time. Thank you for always being you, for giving me my beautiful mother, and of course our massive, amazing, wild, beautiful family! My childhood is filled with so many great memories with our clan and that's all thanks to you a Grump. I can't imagine it was easy, but so worth it! I'm going to miss you so much, and will love you forever and always. Give Grump and Aunt Marcy a big hug and kiss for us! xoxoxo

I have only been part of the family for 13 years, but Mom you were an inspiration to me. A large, life loving family. The love was always abundant. This family always has each other's back and when they get together the love is plain to see. Mom you created this large rambunctious bunch and I love everyone of them. They get it from you ❤️. I will miss your directness ( no filter). You will be missed by us all
Until we meet again

Gran, you were my last Grandparent here with me, and I want to thank you for being you. When you see Grump, please tell him his ‘Breezy’ misses him.
Love You Forever,
Breanna

Aunt Mabel it was sure nice to meet up with you at the garden, although it took a second for yiu to recognize me, white hair and all, than you said oh you look just like your mom. When you get there, Please tell her we miss her like crazy, hope you and mom don't cause too much trouble up there with your country music and shenanigans.I have wonderful memories of Park Rd, crossing over the field to your house and Bj coming over to our house, picking strawberries in the field, those were the good old days, I can say that now I'm old( lol). Rest In Peace Aunt Mabel, and ill see you on the other side one day

Mom
I was hoping you would have been with us just a little longer. I will miss you so, so much. The shopping days, lunches, appointments or just the quiet visits at your apartment. You told me more than once how much of a nuisance you felt you were and i told you that was absolutely not true. I was so happy I was able to be there to help you in your golden years.
I came across this poem today.
" A Silent Tear"
Just close your eyes and you will see
All the memories that you have of me
Just sit and relax and you will find
I'm really there inside your mind
Don't cry for me now I'm gone
For I am in the land of song
There is no pain, there is no fear
So dry away that silent tear
Don't think of me in the dark and cold
for here I am, no longer old
I'm in that place that's filled with love
Known to you all as "up above".
Love you Mumsie
Kelly xoxo
Forever on my heart and in my mind.

Hey Ma, I imagine your on the move wherever you are probly hunting down Pops and organizing an outing to a car show, car race, hockey game, Jamboree, ordering some trinket online or just out for something to eat.
I remember the summers at the cottage in Halliburton. Fishing an swimming.
I still see you an Pops at the Thursday night car show in Marmora sitting in front of Cookies barber shop.
I'm glad I got to take you fishing an taking you with me for the ride when I was trucking cattle. And driving the truck while I picked up the last hay bales in the field.
I'm thankful for everything you offered and did for us . Gonna miss your jokes.
I'm not sure how anyone is going to make it without your tell it like it is. There were no filters.
Looks Like your Bruins are making another run.
Rest in peace Ma.
Love you.
Curty
