Jane was born on April 8, 1933, in the Town of Newmarket. She helped raise her brothers while her father was overseas during WWII. Jane became a teacher and moved to Bowmanville where she met Jim Woodley and became the Chatelaine of Woodley’s Sawmill. Jane and Jim raised their four children at the farm and were renown for their hospitable nature, kindness, and the great times had “back at Buffalo".

Following Jim’s death, Jane was fortunate enough to find love again in the form of Glenn Smith. Jane and Glenn shared a wonderful relationship and welcomed all of their children to their family and home.

Jane will be forever missed by all who knew her. Her children are grateful to have been blessed to have her as their mother. She was simply the best!
