Obituary of Paul Andrew Hansel

Paul ANDREW Norman Hansel

1964-2022

Paul Andrew passed away peacefully at his home on Friday November 18th 2022

Paul aged 58

Beloved brother of Paula Hohmann (Leo)

Son of the late Wray and Joy Hansel of Bowmanville.

Special uncle to Kyle, Alannah, Marshall and Selby Hohmann.

He wanted none of the hospital palliative or hospice support available to him.

He led his own path in life on his own terms to the end.

No matter what life threw at him he radiated love and empathy to everyone he encountered.

He is released from his pain, at peace, and complete.

As related to his youngest nephew:

“I know I wasn’t that bad, and I could have done some things better, but I make due with little and little I regret. Oh my, I loved the water, oh my, the blessed fish, I know when I am laid to rest, I know that I have lived!

Dearest brother, you are loved and will never be forgotten…You have taught us all!!

In death he exchanged his “cross in life” for a “crown in Heaven” of that I have no doubt!

Rest in heavenly peace my brother!
