Passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on July 16th, 2022

 

Predeceased by her husband Lawrence, parents Mary and Walter, siblings Eileen, Dolly, Clara, Evelyn and Walter (Butch).  Survived by Ernie, her beloved partner.  Cherished mother of Rosemary (the late Larry), Joan (Greg), Brian (Jane), Paul and Mary (John).  Cherished grandmother of Travis, Gary (Wendy), Nicholas (Brittney), Paul (Katherine), Joshua (Meagan), Danielle (Josh), Courtney (Brad), Brittney, Clayton and Kristine (Gabriel).  Great grandmother of Zachary, Jayden, Izabella, Calvin, Emery, Tucker, Tristan and Hailey.  Step-children Susan (Ian), Lucille (Ray), Patrick (Darlene), Kenneth (Michelle) as well as 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  She was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

 

Born November 8, 1931 is Sydney, Cape Breton Nova Scotia, she moved to Toronto where she met and married Lawrence.  Together they ventured eastwards eventually settling in Bowmanville where they raised their family of 5 children.  Once her children were grown she moved out of Bowmanville with Ernie and enjoyed winters in the south, Arizona, Florida and travelling.

 

Charlotte enjoyed spending time lounging around the pool sunning herself, doing crafts, knitting, cooking and baking to share with others.  Her love for music and dancing can be seen and will carry on in her family for generations to come.

 

Special thank you to the wonderful Doctors and Nurses of Med/Surg Floor at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, who made Charlotte’s final days peaceful and supported her family.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. JOSEPH’S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, on Thursday July 21st at 11 am, visitation will be held at the church from 10 – 11 am.  Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.  Memorial Donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or Durham Region Cancer Centre.
