Donald Arthur Wadsworth

Surrounded by love, Don passed away peacefully at home on March 30^th, 2022 at the age of 86 years.

Beloved husband of Charlene Wadsworth.  Loving father of Michael Wadsworth (Barbara), Lee Wadsworth, Kelly Wadsworth and Kim Metcalfe (Bill).  Cherished grandfather of Shawn, Jennifer, Nicholas, Dawson, Brittnie, Amber and Thomas.  Adored great-grandfather of Ethan, Logan, Isabelle, Chloe, Hayley and Jeremy.  Dear brother of Arnold Wadsworth and Sharon Davison.

Don was continually giving of himself from a very young age.  He was proud to serve his country as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, retiring in 1978.  Over the years he held many maintenance roles, often dealing with organizations that supported children, including Kinark Child and Family Services, 2^nd Base Youth Shelter and spending many years as a driving instructor at Donovan High School.  As much as he gave of himself, he was always there for his family, his true pride and joy.  The love and support he gave to all of his family will be tremendously missed but never forgotten!

At Don’s request no formal service will be held.  A Celebration of his Life will be held at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, 116 Church Street on Saturday May 28^th from 2:30 – 5 pm.  Arrangements entrusted to NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville.  Memorial Donations may be made to The Cancer Society.
