Obituary of Brenda Kim Hobbs

Brenda Kim Hobbs

Brenda was born in Oshawa on August 26, 1957 to Frank and Irene Newell.

Cherished by her husband Dan for over 45 years, Brenda passed away on November 3, 2021 in Huntsville.  Awesome mother to Rachel and David (Jaimie) and grandmother to Wren.  Treasured sister of Wendy (Rick) and dearly loved aunt to Robert (Krysta), James (Morgan) and Marshall.  Fondly remembered by brother-in-law Barry (Lou) and Bob (Laura) and their children Chris, Darryl (Stephanie), Steven, Andrew (Leigh) and Sarah and great nieces and nephews.

Brenda was anything but ordinary throughout her life.  She was dynamic and driven in her career as a records and information technology director.  She worked for Imperial Oil, Dennison Mines, Cities of Mississauga and North York, Hudson’s Bay Company and Barrick Gold.  In her personal life, she thoroughly enjoyed her family, travel, cottaging, needlepoint and entertaining her many friends.
