Gerald and I send our sincere condolences to the Tighe family on the passing of your Mum. She was such a kind person who led a long, full life. She was a longtime volunteer in the community and I was proud to be at a ceremony honouring her for her years of fundraising for Bowmanville Hospital. May she Rest In Peace.

Dear Tighe Family, your wonderful Mom and Dad will always be part of my cherished childhood memories. Our Mom enjoyed visits with your Mom while they were busy homemaking and raising lots of children. In the later years they spent time sharing updates on what we were all doing as adults. Your Dad often came over to watch Saturday night hockey on TV with our Dad and I can still hear them cheering and complaining. Members of the Tighe Family were frequently part of the conversation around our dinner table and still appear in our home movies. May your happy memories bring you some comfort. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest condolences to the Tighe family. I have fond memories of spending endless days and nights at the Tighe house when I was a teenager. Mrs. Tighe always welcomed me with warmth and graciousness. She was a remarkable woman who managed a house full of children yet seemed to flow with any and all circumstances. I remember being quite in awe of her! She was a dear heart who will be deeply missed.

Grandma Tighe shared her love equally amongst a large legacy of children and grandchildren living across the globe. Our conversations with Grandma always concluded with us learning a thing or two, as she told stories of her past and, of course, shared current events from her cherished Saturday Globe and Mail. We are so grateful her strong, independent spirit shone through until her final days, and that she was surrounded by so many of those she loved in presence and in spirit. Another angel is joining you, Ty. All our love, Brett and Emma.

I will always look up to Grandma Tighe as being a strong and independent woman. She has always been a supportive mother, grandmother, cousin, friend, and the list goes on. Throughout my childhood, I have observed her as a kind-spirited woman with an intriguing sense of sarcasm and feistiness at the same time. As my cousin, Brett Oystensen, posted earlier today, "Grandma Tighe shared her love equally amongst a large legacy of children and grandchildren living across the globe". My thoughts and love go out to everyone, Alli.

To : All the Tighe Family:
With great sadness we extend our sincere sympathy in the loss of your mother , Christena.
Chris was one of a kind - unique in character , personality, grace , sincerity and joy.
She lived life to enjoy and respect all folks equally.
Her dedication to family, relatives and friends was noticeably appreciated by all who knew her.
We will always remember her and Murray and their many visits to Stittsville - the fun , the laughter , and camaraderie
will remain forever in our memory .
Chris was great to keep in touch by phone since our move to Calgary and I will greatly miss those calls for the laughter , news and reminiscing of times gone by and the normal relative catch up. She loved her independence and remained active and engaged until the end . You must be comforted in the fact that this is how she hoped it would end and true to her word , she succeeded . We will all miss her greatly . Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as you move through this sad and traumatic time .
A full life lived—she is gone but never to be forgotten .
With deepest sympathy ,
Ina and Manford Colbran
