Passed away peacefully on May 15, 2021 at 1:00 pm in his 98^th year.

Beloved husband of Rita who passed away in 2010 and Mary who passed in 1979.  Loving father of Douglas (Izabela), Daniel (Judy), Janet (Blair Walters) and Suzanne (predeceased Red Snyder).  Devoted and loved grandfather of 7, great-grandfather of 7 and great great grandfather of 2.  John is a Veteran of WWII where he served overseas in the R.C.A.F. for 2 years.  His career was with General Motors of Canada for 30 years and ended as General Auditor in 1984.

John worked in an office for many years but was always happiest outdoors fixing things. He will be remembered as kind, thoughtful, generous and very well respected.

He will be missed.

John’s motto for most things was ‘Never be Late’

To be happy you must: Let go of what’s gone, Be grateful of what remains. Look forward to what is coming next.

Due to current restrictions, A Private Family Service will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Friday May 21^st at 10 am.  Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.  Memorial Donations may be made to a Charity of your Choice.
