We are saddened to learn of Susan’s passing. My son, James, has been delivering the local paper to her for a couple years now. She always invited him in out of the cold on collection weeks and they’d have a quick chat about how school was going. She was always very encouraging and sincere. Sending our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones. May she rest in sweetest peace

Aunt Susan was the kindest warmest and the best GodMother. I have so many lovely memories. I still hear her laugh. It was α good one. My heart is with Kaiti and Brian and family. She’s gone too soon.

I was saddened to learn Sue left us so soon. She was such a giving human being. I had the good fortune to work with Sue in many of the same schools throughout my career. It was readily apparent that Sue was loved by all the staff and students at those schools. I have one particular memory that I cherish, and which demonstrates the huge impact she had on one particular “hard of hearing” student. She worked with this student for a number of years (grade 2 to grade 8 I believe). I had worked with this student as well over the years so I was pleased to attend his grade 8 graduation in 2010. I was moved when this shy boy; who had had to work so very hard over those early years to learn to improve his speech; had chosen to get up and speak at that graduation in front of everyone. Remarkably what he chose to speak about was his gratitude for having Susan's support through those challenging years. Sue was always modest and quiet so it took something like that to realize what a contribution she made to not just one student… but to so many! I know she will be profoundly missed by many. I hope this will be just one more memory that will help her family through this difficult time.

Sue was so fun to be with, always happy and truly enjoying whatever we did together. How lucky I was to be able to say she was such an important friend in my life. I know that her happiest times were with her loving husband Harvey, her children Kaitlin and Brian and her Grandchildren whom she loved so much. She lived a beautiful life and she knew how much she was loved. Sending love to all of her family and may you find comfort in the memories you have of this lovely lady.

My deepest condolences to the children and family of Susan, and specially to Diane, her sister and my dearest friend, and also to Peter I had the chance to meet at many occasions. Like them, Susan was without any doubt a very genuine person, compassionate and loved by everyone. May she rest in peace.

Susan loved life and especially her family. Her grandchildren were such a blessing to her in recent years, as Kaitlin and Brian have been all their lives. Her spirit will live on in our memories of her kindness, generosity and the quiet courage with which she lived the last few years of her life after Harvey passed away... Both gone too soon, but never forgotten I am sure by the many friends and neighbours, who were a Godsend in their unstinting support particularly through these difficult times.
Thank-you all from the bottom of my heart, where my favourite sister will always be.
