Brian Victor Hancock

1946 - 2019

Brian Victor Hancock passed peacefully on June 14th, 2019, surrounded by family at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, only steps from the old Bowmanville hospital where he was born nearly 73 years earlier. Survived by former wife Sue (née Huddleston) Hancock, proud and loving father to their three children Kit (spouse Lori-Ann) Hancock, Jay (spouse Kelly) Hancock, and Dawn (spouse Scott) Downie. Always with a Werther's candy in his pocket, he was loving Grampa to Emma, Kieran, Nathaniel, Gwen, Ethan, and Sarah.

Brian is predeceased by his parents Victor and Dorothy (née Graham) Hancock, his older sister Eleanor (née Hancock) Perrin, and older brother Gary Hancock. Brother-in-law to the late Jack Perrin and to Marilyn (née Forder) Hancock.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday, July 20th.  Details to be finalized and will be available by emailing dawndownie2011@gmail.com.  Our family would like to thank Dr. Osborne and all of the nurses and health care professionals who cared for Brian at his home, and at the hospital.
