Aaltje Janna Kobes

(nee Moesker)

November 13, 1930 - January 13, 2019

 

Aly lived a long and full life. She was a compassionate, kind woman who was loved deeply and had a lot of love to give. She was a strong woman of God who lived a life of faith and trust. With the support, prayers, and care of family, friends, and community, Aly was able to die peacefully in her own home with her family by her side

on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the age of 88.

Aly leaves behind her beloved husband of 63 years Henk Kobes.

 

Aly’s beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren:

She was predeceased by grandson Levi and great-grandson Reid. Aly’s beloved siblings: Tina, Janet, Ineke, Adolf and predeceased by sister Jantje and brother Cor.

 

Aly was a faithful friend to many with whom she gave and received love freely.

 

Our sincere thanks to Dr. Hoy, Dr. Irish, Nurse Sarah Meringer, the Palliative Care team, and the Stroke Unit at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

 

 

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street on Tuesday January 15th from 1 – 3 pm & 6 – 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at REHOBOTH CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 130 Scugog Street on Wednesday January 16th at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to World Renew.
