Obituary of Catherine Mary Rehder

(nee Tarlington) Passed peacefully away on March 30, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer's dementia. Kay grew up in Brockville and was an RN graduate of Brockville Psychiatric Hospital. She loved dancing. Kay looked after people whether it involved her family, nursing, or roles in the Bowmanville branch of the Canadian Cancer Society. She was very involved in her church, Trinity United, and made many lasting friendships there. Beloved wife of the late Tom Rehder. Predeceased by her mother Kate Tarlington, and siblings Dora Webster, Robert, and Howard Tarlington. Left to mourn her passing are daughter Jennifer Horne and her husband Fred, sisters and brother-in-law Barbara Watson, Robert and Margaret Rehder, Nonnie Rehder, as well as numerous nieces and nephews from the Rehder and Tarlington families. She is also mourned by members of the Horne family, Dave and Johanna Bryant and many friends in Bowmanville. A special thank-you to Dr. McIntosh, Val, Melissa, Alice and all the staff of Willow Way, Hillsdale Estates Nursing Home who took such good care of Kay over the last 12 years. Special thanks to Johanna Bryant and the late Jack Brough for their many visits to Kay while at Hillsdale.
