Obituary of Imogene “Parchie” Parchment

Passed away peacefully with friends and family by her side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on February 4, 2016, in her 83rd year, after a very brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Parchie worked for over 30 years as a nurse at Branson Hospital in Toronto. She is predeceased by her parents, Lyndon and Princy Parchment, and her best friend and roommate, Norma Spence. She is survived by her brother, Clyde, of Jamaica, his children – Wayne (Karen), Shawna, and Devain (Venice), and by her honourary daughter – Lisa (Reuel) McGann, of Courtice. She will be sorely missed by her grand-nieces, Kourtney and Allayne; grand-nephew, E. J.; “grandchildren”, Zahara, Austin, and Tyson; and numerous cousins and friends. Many thanks to all who called and visited, and to the nurses and doctors on C6 and C7 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their attentive care.

Service

A Celebration of Life service was held at the Revivaltime Tabernacle in Toronto on Saturday, February 13, at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. At her request, Parchie’s cremated remains will be buried alongside her parents in Southfield, Jamaica.
