Passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on March 26, 2024

Beloved husband of Marijke.  Dear father of Courtney (Steve) Kench, Leigh-Anna, Darcy (Nathan) and Jonathan (Emily).  Loving Poppa Bear to Lexxie, Jaxxon, Ada and Zoe.  Dear brother of Barry (Cathy) Oliver.

John spent his entire life in Bowmanville, he truly loved this community.  He could often be found on the porch having a friendly chat with those walking by, especially those walking their dogs.  He was an avid train collector, but above all he cherished his family and times spent together.

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville on Monday April 1^st from 12 – 1 pm.  Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 1 pm.  Memorial Donations may be made to Diabetes Canada, Parkinson Canada or The Humane Society.
