Obituary of Cindy Lou Ann Millson

Cindy Lou Ann Millson

November 15, 1957 - February 29, 2024

It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Cindy Millson (nee Cowle) on February 29, 2024 in her 67th year after a year long battle with cancer.

Cindy was the beloved wife to Steve Millson for 48 years, and loving mother to Adam (Amanda) and Andrew (Shannon). She was a doting “Nana” to her 6 grandchildren: Travis, Ella, Cole, Ryder, Ava and Jace. She was the beloved sister to Donna Mairs (Bill), Donald Cowle (Karen) and Ken Cowle (Sharon), and caring aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Cindy is survived by her mother Ruth Cowle (nee Adams) and predeceased by her father, Donald Cowle.

Cindy was born on November 15, 1957 in Bowmanville. While in high school Cindy started her first job as an employee at McDonalds and continued to work there until she retired in 2022. She also kept herself busy selling Avon to many loyal customers. Cindy was an avid member of the Enniskillen/Tyrone United Church for many years where she was the board secretary. Cindy enjoyed spending her time gardening and watching birds from her beautiful
sunroom. She was a devoted Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Her best times were spent with family and friends and spending time at the cottage where she loved her pontoon boat rides.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Lakeridge Health Cancer Centre and EMS/doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville Emergency department who cared for her in her final hours.
