Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Wednesday November 15^th, 2023

Beloved husband of Patti.  Loving father of Barry and Lori (Paul) Overend and the late John.  Dear brother of Marcy Trimble and June (Paul) Jones.  He will be lovingly remembered by cousins, nieces, nephews, a granddaughter Shania and many friends.

Howie was a longtime letter carrier with Canada Post.  He was a Board Member at Veridian Hydro, an avid fisherman, amateur boxer and an active member of the Bowmanville community, a place he loved.

A Memorial Visitation & Tributes will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Sunday November 19^th, from 1 – 4 pm.  Memorial Donations may be made to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 178.
