I have so many good memories of Ingrid. When I think of Ingrid I think of her kindness to me and what a great friend she was. Ingrid and I spent our growing up years together. We swam together, went to Brownie camp every year together. When I got my drivers license we would take dad’s old work station wagon and drive around town on the back roads so we didn’t have to walk and nobody would see us. We worked at the IGA together and it seemed like if I wasn’t at the Mankinen farm she was at our place. Our families were so intertwined and when Aunt Esther died we just all seemed like brothers and sisters. One big happy Family. None of us knew we were poor, we just enjoyed having fun together swimming in the river or climbing the big hill to Stan’s Texaco to get candy. Life was good! I have so many good memories of Ingrid it would take a book but one thing is for sure, Ingrid will be missed by me! Look forward to seeing you in Heaven Ingrid! I know you’ll be at the gate waiting for us all to come! Til’ we meet again…….
