Obituary of Thomas James Schirmers

Suddenly, in his 68th year, Thomas James Schirmers passed away on Friday December 30, 2016. Leaving behind his loving wife Crystal R. Schirmers of Courtice, ON. Tom also leaves behind his children: Matthew (Josie), Mark (Kelly), step daughters: Colleen (Ross) and Nicole (Michael), and grandchildren: Rachel, Tyler, Jayden Kai, Brady, Milo and Zoë. As per Tom's wishes, he will be laid to rest in Minnesota, USA with his mother and father. Tom, a Vietnam Veteran, spent many years as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid baseball player, and a quiet, gentle man. He will be fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. In his latter years, he spent many hours volunteering at St. Paul’s United Church where he was an active member of the congregation and top notch usher.
