Obituary of Alma Evelyn Langmaid

(nee Goyne) September 3, 1930 – May 3, 2014 Aged 83 years Peacefully at Marnwood Longterm Care Survived by Charles, her husband of 62 years. Loving mother of Sally (Tom Barrie), Tom and Faye (Paul Laing). Cherished by her Grandchildren Jessica (Stewart McDonough), Kate (Craig Hyatt), Gillian (Jason Buckley) and Stephen and her Great Grandchilden, Anna, Sam and Andrew. Survived by her sister Viola Ashton (late Bill), Sisters-in-law Helen Preston (late Lloyd), Muriel Lunn (late Orville), many nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by her parents, Effie and Tom, her daughter Marlene (1952-1956) and brothers Raymond and Garnet. Honourary Lifetime member of Solina Women’s Institute, Lifetime volunteer membership of Community Care Durham, recipient of 50 year volunteer award from the Province of Ontario and Municipality of Clarington. Member of Trinity United Church and formerly of Eldad United Church.
