Obituary of Camille Lou Anne Coombes

(nee McPherson) On Friday January 9th, 2015, at the age of 41, died of Bladder Cancer at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, surrounded by the love of her family Camille was born on June 5, 1973 in Oshawa. She is survived by her beloved husband Michael (Mike) Coombes and her sons Stuart and Logan. She is the loved daughter of Duncan & Margaret McPherson and sister of Warren (Ofelia). She will be lovingly remembered by her in-laws Jim & Margaret Coombes, Peter Coombes, Jill Coombes (Maureen), nephews Matthew & Nathaniel and extended family and dear friends. Camille was raised in Bowmanville. She went to Waverley PS, Bowmanville Sr. PS, then Bowmanville High School. She graduated from Brock University with a B.Sc (Honours) in Earth Sciences. Most recently Camille worked at Hubbell Canada. Camille was an active member of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario (ACO) ~ Clarington Branch, who works for the advocacy of the preservation and productive reuse of local historically significant buildings and properties. Specifically Camp 30. Camille was most proud of her boys, her beloved husband and his dojo.

Service

A Celebration of Camille’s Life will be held at ST. PAUL’S UNITED CHURCH, 178 Church St. Bowmanville on Saturday January 17th, 2015 at 3 pm. Visitation will be held from 1 – 3 pm In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to ACO ~ Clarington, The Terry Fox Foundation or an RESP has been set up for Stuart & Logan, these may be done through Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division St. N., with whom arrangements have been entrusted. Thank you to the team at the Durham Region Cancer Centre and my Health Team. Thank you to everyone who sent cards, notes and the Facebook chatter. It was the friendly upbeat notes that kept me going (ok, and honey garlic wings :) ) ~ Camille.
