Obituary of Jurgen Mirsch

JURGEN (JERRY) MIRSCH

It is with great sadness that we announce that our father Jurgen (Jerry) Mirsch, passed peacefully in his 80th year, on Thursday January 5, 2023.  

Faithful husband to his late wife Renate Mirsch; loving father to Michael Mirsch (Anna), Lorraine Mirsch (Drew Benn), and Andrea Mirsch (Kevin Roach).  Devoted and cherished grandfather (Opa) to seven wonderful grandchildren; Alyssa, Erika, Nathan, Ella, Jacob, Olivia, and Alexandra.  Jerry is survived by his beloved sister Elfie Jost, and brother-in-law Norbert Siegfried (Jane Reilly). 

Jerry was a genuine, thoughtful man who loved his family and friends more than anything.  He was a jack of all trades, instinctively insightful, and respectfully humble, achieving happiness by putting others first.  He touched the lives of so many people and even though he is gone, his memory will live on in all of our hearts.

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street North Bowmanville on Thursday January 12th from 3:30 - 5 pm.  A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 5 pm.  In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Bowmanville Hospital Foundation or Durham Region Cancer Centre.

Following the service a Celebration of Jerry's life will be held at the family home, all are welcome to attend.
