With deep sorrow and sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of Garry on October 28th, 2022 at Hillsdale Estates.

Devoted husband of Sandra (nee Hall).  Proud father of Lori Cooke, Lisa Kowal (Wade Serediuk) and Heather Cooke (Jamie Park).  Loved by grandchildren Nicholas (Hailey), Erin (Zach) and Jessica. Great grandpa to Levi, Huxley and the late Bluebell. Dear brother of Arnie, Ron, Brian, Kenny, Cathy Grosz and Dianne Gilder.

Garry’s warm spirit and easy going attitude will be greatly missed by so many.  He was the past president of Community Living Oshawa Clarington as well as Community Living Ontario. He received the Governor Generals Award for good citizenship, and he was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch 178. He will be truly missed.

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Tuesday November 1^st from 1 – 3:30 pm. Funeral Service will be at 3:30 pm beginning with a Legion service. There will be a Celebration of life at the Legion branch 178 once the service has concluded. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Living Oshawa Clarington.
