Everyone at the OSCC Northview Branch Adult Day Program would like to send our condolences, we will miss Carman very much and loved when he would come and sing/ play guitar for us.
We were saddened to hear of Carman’s passing. He was our friend from the fiddle and country clubs in the area. His music filled the floor with dancers and he had a great singing voice. He was always happy and so friendly and he will be missed. Our condolences to the Shirk family. Sincerely, Dennis and Emily Sullivan
I first met Carman almost 31 years ago when Joanne and I went to her family Christmas get together. I will always remember his big smile and positive view on everything that he had. When we started going to the reunions and watched him play guitar with his grandkids watching him in awe it was Carman in his purest form. He just loved to be with family, play music and create those memories that we are all fortunate to have with him now. I regret we didn't have more chances to cross paths over the last few years, but the songs and the smile will play on in my heart. My deepest condolences to all the family in their time of loss.
Ralph and I wish to send heartfelt condolences to Carman’s family. We knew Carman when he and Don would DJ at Tyrone Community Centre. We also saw and spoke with Carman at Music in the Park at Rotary Park, Bowmanville several weeks ago.
