Our deepest sympathies to your family with the loss of such a great person. Steve was pivotal in my career with Rogers, his experience in the industry led me through my formative years, and the stresses in our tasks made me ready for what came afterwards. But I also remember the father visiting his family at home, with me in toe, when he needed to and a friend that attended our wedding, with you Deb, on Canada Day in 2000. His passion will be missed by everyone who met him.

There are to many memories with Steve.
One that that comes to mind is his trip to Florida with his friend Haword . We went for dinner to one of his father's tenants. An older Italian ledy that didn't know much English but she new how to cook.
Best lasagna ever with some Italian drink. Steve was rubbing his belly as I rember him doing when he liked his food. Well ,the ledy wasn't just feeding us but was refilling our glasses with some drink that I never had before. We all got little tipsy. However Haword was very bad.
He went to bathroom locked the door and didn't come out for a few hours . Steve and I spent half the night setting outside and taking turns to go in the back yard.
Story he and I repeated many times.
Steve was with me when I first went Canada. He was still in high school.
Steve visited me in Florida most with his mom and dad . Steve was with me when I got married. He was there with Howard when my daughter took first steps. He came down with his wife on honeymoon.
He came for my sixtieth birthday, I missed his.
There are too many memories to mention.
I remember him as devoted father and husband.
Rest in peace my brother you'll be missed a lot. Memory eternal!

Difficult to decide on just one memory to share - there are so many. Steve was a large presence - physically and with his personality. He enjoyed having people around him. The memory that makes me smile is of him, waving his glass and pretending to be tipsy while slurring, "die frosch hast keine haare!". He was never sure why someone in his past used to say that one. His death has left a great hole in the lives of so many who loved him.
