Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Downing

(nee Sheridan)

Passed away on Sunday December 12^th, 2021 at Glenhill Strathaven Long Term Care at the age of 83 years.

Beloved wife of Henry Downing.  Loving mother of Paula (Conrad) McLeod and their children Alaura and Delten McLeod; James (Paula) Downing and their children Doug Lewins and Hilary (Russell) Lewins and great-grandchild RJ; Judy (Clare) Muisiner; Nancy (Dennis) Windsor and missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Betty was an RNA for 34 years at Bowmanville Hospital.  She curled in Bowmanville/Oshawa clubs, volunteered in the community and was a Care Giver to many.  She will be missed by family, neighbours and friends. She loved to entertain and hosted a Christmas Eve Open House for years.

A Private Family Service will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N.  Memorial Donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society or Bowmanville Hospital Foundation.
