Obituary of Thomas Edward Metselaar

Tom Metselaar

It is with great sadness that we share the sudden unexpected passing of our brother and uncle Thomas “Tom” Edward Metselaar at the age of 63 years on October 21, 2021.  Tom resided in Whitby, Ontario.

Tom was predeceased by his loving parents Henk and Trien Metselaar and his dear sister Lucy Quirt.

Tom, a kind, gentle person, was interested and cared about people.  He loved to talk, visit and had a great sense of humour.  Tom had a deep faith and looked forward to a brighter future.  He had many good friends.  Tom was especially close to his nephew Timothy Quirt and wife Char Jackson of Calgary, Alberta.

He leaves to mourn his siblings: Clarence (Sandra) Metselaar of Whitby, Ontario; Hillie (Gordon) Carnegie of Lindsay, Ontario; Mary (Terry) Tylosky of Fort St. John, B.C.; and Nancy (Gary) Crawford of Whitby, Ontario.

Nieces and Nephews: Juliana (Scott) Cline; Cheryl Lynn Pratt; Christine (Glenn) Lomas; Timothy (Char) Quirt; Laura (Conrad) Edwards; Andrew Tylosky; Erik (Lindsay) Tylosky; Michael Tylosky; Matthew (Catherine) Crawford and Kaitlin Crawford (Evan).

Tom will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.

Private Memorial Service will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N.
