Obituary of Paul Erik Lehmkuhl

Paul Erik Lehmkuhl

“Lemmy”

November 18th 1959 - October 9th, 2021

After a brave battle with cancer, Paul passed away peacefully with his children by his side on Saturday, October 9th, 2021 at the age of 61.

The most loving, supportive, and proud Dad of Nicole Parsioon (nee Lehmkuhl) and Danielle Lehmkuhl. Cherished father-in-law to Kamyar Parsioon and Adam Hankins. Devoted and proud ‘Pops’ to grandson Beckett. Lifelong friend of Jim “Jim-Bag” and Pauline Kingdon. Adored friend of Chris and Kelly Goddard. Supportive friend of Kelly Young, former spouse and mother of their daughters. He will be lovingly remembered and sincerely missed by many.

Paul was a committed employee of OPG for 26 years and a resident of Bowmanville for over 30 years. He was a man who lived for and appreciated the simple things in life - a good hockey game, golfing with his friends, being a grandfather, and spending time with his girls. He was a proud Canadian who loved travelling and being outdoors. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in Paul’s name may be made to The Highway of Heroes Tree Campaign or to the Durham Cancer Centre.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude and appreciation to the doctors and nurses at Oshawa Cancer Centre, along with Dr. H. Burke, Dr. A Kassirer, and the many caretakers who showed such compassion and kindness to Paul during his final weeks.

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St., Bowmanville on Thursday, October 14th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.  Due to capacity restrictions, if you would like to attend we require you to reserve a spot by calling the funeral home at (905) 623-5668 between the hours of 9 am - 4 pm.  A Private Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM.
