Sylvia was such a friendly special lady. When we moved next door she was the first to come and say Hi. We always chatted in passing and she loved doing yard work. Our two young children were so lucky to know her. She spoiled them with special bags at Halloween, Christmas and sometimes Easter. They felt so special. This helped fill the void of grandparents living in other provinces. We are going to miss seeing you everyday Sylvia! Robin, Moses, Zyd and Chael

My sincere condolences to the Elgar family. I was a former colleague/manager of Sylvia at HealthForceOntario. Sylvia was always a pleasant person and hard worker who loved to serve her clients and support her colleagues. She was an attentive listener and cared deeply about others. I won't forget in 2009 when Sylvia and I travelled across the province on a "road show" to promote our work. She took the scenic route, all across Highway 7 instead of the 401, so that we can catch up more during the drive back home from Ottawa. She was always great company with lively conversation. She will be missed.
