Obituary of Kathleen Ruth Makxam

Kathy Makxam

(nee Ankenman)

Born December 30, 1949 (Toronto)

 

Passed away peacefully on March 6th, 2021 (Bowmanville) at the age of 71 years with the love of her life by her side.

 

Beloved wife of nearly 49 years to Fred Makxam.  Loving mother of Michael and his wife Jessica, and cherished “Grandma Kathy” of Noah.  She will be lovingly remembered by her brother David (Bonnie) Ankenman and sister Jeanette (the late Don) Merritt.  Survived by her in-laws Peter (the late Terry) Makxam, Jean Makxam, Nancy (the late John) MacPherson, Cathy (John) Kennedy, the late Walter (Mary) Makxam, the late Mary Freitag, and the late Bill. 

Her strong sense of kindness, compassion, sense of humor, smile and laughter will be dearly missed by her family, friends and church members at Maple Grove United Church.

 

A Private Visitation & Funeral Service will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. Bowmanville on Saturday March 13th.   A link to view the service virtually at 2 pm will be provided. Interment to follow at the Bowmanville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation.
