Obituary of Robert Warden Gowdy

Passed peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, with family by his side, on Saturday April 27, 2019, at age 77.

He is survived and loved by his wife Louise of 54 years, son Kirk (Angela), son Kris and daughter Tina Cowie (John). Loved by grandchildren Malachi & Jonah Cowie and Kendra & Bryce Gowdy. Survived by sisters Aleta Ryder and Carolyn Purdy, of Kingston. Predeceased by sisters Iona Struthers & Clara Manson, brothers Keith, Edward & Alfred Gowdy, and parents Charles and Rhoda Gowdy. Will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Bob was a member of the Trulls Road Free Methodist Church for many years and a former Rotarian. He was a real estate appraiser in Durham Region for 25 years.
 

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street Bowmanville, on Tuesday April 30^th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at TRULLS ROAD FREE METHODIST CHURCH, 2301 Trulls Road, Courtice, on Wednesday May 1^st at 11 am. Private interment in Verona, ON, at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Trulls Road Free Methodist Church “Building Fund” or to the Bowmanville Rotary Club.
