Obituary of Corinne Maher

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Corinne "Corky" B. Maher age 62 of Bowmanville, ON. Corinne passed away on Thursday April 4, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.

 

Special Valentine and best friend of 46 years, loving wife of 44 years to Gregory Maher. Beautiful mother to Chad Allen and Tery Lee Maher.

 

Corky was a military wife for 18 years, travelling the world with her husband and children. Creating unforgettable memories in Europe.  Returning to Canada, Corky attended college graduating at the top of her class in Law Clerking at Durham College. Corinne worked for 10 years as a law clerk at Garvey Ferris Barristers and Solicitors.  She started her own Law Clerking business, Maher Law Clerking. Corinne took pride in her family business and loved teaching and working with her family until her retirement. Corinne always put others before herself and helped so many of her family and friends in any way she could. She was loving, caring, supportive, encouraging, generous, feisty, witty, adventurous and full of life. Corinne had an inner strength that empowered everyone around her. 

 

Corinne was born in Germany on February 10,1957 to the late Albert and Beatrice McSween.

 

Corinne will be greatly missed by her family, her siblings, Roberta Arndt of Colorado, Lorraine (Wayne) Lappierre of Alberta, Geraldine McSween of B.C, Natalie Lynne (Tom) Russell of ON, Laura Lee Sharpe of NS, predeceased by her brother Wayne McSween of NS. Her sister and brother in-laws Diane (John) Grady of Bancroft, Gary (Betty) Maher of Hampton, Wayne (Diane) Maher of Newcastle, Darlene (the late Jim) Reynolds of Bancroft, Denise (Peter) Maher of Woodville.  Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great nieces. Loved and missed greatly by her military friends/family, as well as all her friends that became family.

 

Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
