Obituary of Carol Louise Marchant

With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of

Carol Marchant            

(nee Floody)    

on Wednesday February 27, 2019, at 80 years of age.

Beloved wife to devoted husband Murray for 63 years. Cherished mother to Rick, Christopher (Pam) and Cheryl. Dear grandmother of Kyle, Aleisha, Chris Jr., Kristen, Matthew and Stephen and great-grandmother of Ryder and Max. Daughter of John Hungerford and Marion (Williams) and sister of Betty Mclean.  Will be dearly missed by sister-in-law Mary Balson. A special fondness goes out to members of her “Gab Girls Group”; Barb, Brenda, Carol Milne, Faye and Vera and close friends Muriel Burgess, Kelvin and Shirley & Neil.  The family would like to thank Bowmanville Hospital and Scarborough Health Network ~ Centenary (and Lorrainne) for their compassion shown.  Carol and her kindred spirit will be fondly remembered by Murray, family and dear friends.

As per Carol’s wishes, there will be no funeral.  A Celebration of Life will be held for Carol on Friday June 7th, 2019 from 2 - 4 pm at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, 116 Church Street Bowmanville. Memorial donations may be made to the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation through the NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St., with whom the arrangements have been entrusted.
