Obituary of Donald "Don" Arthur McDonald

Passed away on Thursday July 26^th, 2018 at

Glen Hill Strathaven Lifecare Centre in Bowmanville,

at the age of 77.

Don was born in Toronto to Helen Shepherd and Frederick McDonald on October 6th, 1940. His main occupation was a skilled printer in film labs in California, Vancouver and in Toronto before he created his own successful maintenance and carpet cleaning business for retail stores. He named his company after his favourite animal “the wolf” called Wolf Maintenance. His hobbies included playing the guitar among other string instruments as well as challenging anyone who would entertain him in a good chess match. Don is survived by his 2 daughters Cindy McDonald and Debbie Smith, mother of his children Wanda McDonald, grandchildren Tyla and Madison Smith, brothers Fred McDonald, Frank McDonald, Larry McDonald and sister Margret Wilson. He is preceded in death by his brothers Charlie and Roy McDonald. Don was a kind, playful and positive man and will be dearly missed by all who got to know him.

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street Bowmanville on Sunday July 29th from 4-6pm, with words of remembrance at 5 pm.
