Obituary of Betty Jean Parker

(nee Mathews) August 19, 1923- July 8, 2012 Betty Parker, formerly of Bowmanville, passed away peacefully in her 89th year at Sunnyside Home in Kitchener, Ontario. Predeceased by her husband Lionel Albert (2007), her brother Andrew Mathews, in -laws Jack & Madeline Parker, and Fred Yates. Loving mother of Paul (Sharon) of New Jersey, Doug (Lisa) of Ottawa and Mary (John) of Waterloo. Special “Nan” to Zach and Tess. Remembered with love by Phillip, Michael, Rowan, Jarrah and Shannon. Cherished friend of Cathy and Rod MacLeod. Survived by her sisters-in-law Audrey Mathews (Whitby) and Nell Yates (Newcastle), nieces and nephews. “Sleep on Beloved”

A Funeral Service will be held at ST. JOHN’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 11 Temperance St. Bowmanville, on Wednesday July 18, 2012 at 1 pm. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville. Heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sunnyside Home in Kitchener for their love, care and support of Betty and her family. Donations can be made in Betty’s memory to Sunnyside Home Foundation through the funeral home.
