Ordained Deacon for 30 years

Past Padre of the Bowmanville & Collingwood Royal Canadian Legion Branches

Went home to be with his Lord & Saviour at West Shore Village Retirement Residence, Port Perry, on Saturday March 17, 2018 at the age of 96.

Beloved husband of the late Edeltraut (m. 1945- 1994) and the late Irene (m, 1996- 2005). Loving father of Monica Baker, Birgitta (Chris), Laura, Norbert (Rev. Wendy Moore), Ed (Kim), and the late Ron. Dear Opa of Paul, Christine (Dan), Catherine, Melanie (Erik), Angela, Stephanie (Jacob), Gabriel (Jennifer), Andrew, Clayton, Jeremy, Sharan, Matthew, Jason (Shantelle), Ayla, Robyn, Carlie, Erin, Amanda (Jakob) and great- Opa of 10. Cherished brother of Letty, Mieke and the late Andries, Coby and Nel. He will be fondly remembered by his step-daughter Louise Mountenay and the Whitney family.

Visitation will be held at Northcutt Elliott Funeral Home, 53 Division Street Bowmanville on Friday March 23rd from 2 – 4 & 7- 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday March 24th at 2 pm. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.  Memorial Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
