Obituary of Klaas "Claude" Dykstra

Owner of the former Dykstra’s Delicatessen

Peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Saturday July 8, 2017 at Fosterbrooke LTC at the age of 82 years.

Beloved husband of Gladys for almost 57 years. Loving father of Michelle (Brian) Reid and the late Carson. Dear grandpa of Skylar & Jake. Cherished brother of Bill (Jenny), Tony (Jane), Peter (Seane), John (Florence), Henry (Lori), Del (Greta) and the late Bob & Tim. Survived by his sisters-in-law Jean & Dot. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and Darlene Sasseville.

A special thank you to Dr. H. Burke & Dr. Ed Osborne and all the staff at Fosterbrooke for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be held at NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. Bowmanville on Tuesday July 11th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 2805 Hwy # 2 E. Bowmanville on Wednesday July 12th at 11 am. Private Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada.
