Loving sister of Ryan (Grace), Alicia (Ken) Boekee; Bradley and Kristin. Dear aunt of Amy, Carson and Justin. Beloved granddaughter of Philip & Rita VanHartingsveldt and Rose Rusticus (Sikma) and the late Pier Sikma & Ed Rusticus. Dear friend of Cohen Trolley. Cherished niece and cousin of Gerry & Dave deVries; Krista & Steve Driesman (Adriana, Janine); Valerie & Norm Sennema (Tim, Nathan, Janelle); Geoffery Sikma (Nicole, Jessica, Jonathon); John & Jen Sikma (Steven, Derrick, Josh, Jacob & Ethan) and Christine & Steve Scholtes (Alexe, Sam, & Taylor) and her Rusticus uncles and aunts Owen, Martin & Shayna, Sheila, Eric & Stacy. She will be sadly missed by her many friends. Psalm 8:2a “From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise”. Visitation will be held at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, Hwy # 2 & Haines Rd. Bowmanville on Thursday May 6th, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at MARANATHA CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH on Friday May 7th, 2010 at 11 am. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to Durham Christian High School for a Tuition Assistance Fund or The Eva Rothwell Resource Centre (Hamilton, On) through the NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. Bowmanville, with whom the arrangements have been entrusted.

PETER JOHN VANDERVEER Age 72 years Peacefully Gone home to be with his Lord on Thursday March 11, 2010 Dear father of Annette (Steve Wilson), Steven, Belinda, Connie (Dave Britton) and Justin Scea. Loving grandpa of Alannah, Koltan, Trysten, Evan, Kendall & Jax. Predeceased by his wife Betty (nee Potter) and survived by Shirley. Predeceased by his parents Jouke & Tjitske Vanderveer, brother Jack Vanderveer, sister Ann Feenstra and survived by his sister Pat Vandrunen. He will be sadly missed by his beloved Goldie. Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, on Sunday March 14, 2010 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday March 15th, 2010 at 2 pm. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to The Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.

JANNY VANDER MAALE March 25, 1926 – March 12, 2010 Gone home to be with her Lord and her beloved husband Beloved wife of the late Tony Vander Maale. Dear mother of Alice & her husband Chris Milo, Diana & her husband Clarence Beeksma, Vivian & her husband David Foster, Wilma & her husband Peter Hiemstra and Sharon & her husband Doug Scarrow. Cherished Oma of Melissa, Pamela, Nathan, Mark, Rachel, Michael & Jessica. Loving Great-Oma of Ashley, Allison, Nicholas, Jordyn, Elizabeth, Dylan, Hannah, Jackson & Jonathan. Dear sister of Wim Verger of The Netherlands and predeceased by her brother Gerrit Verger. Janny was born in Baarn, The Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1952 where they initially settled in Strathroy, Ontario. Janny began working on her many sewing projects, including clothing for her family, friends and even wedding attire. In 1965 the family relocated to Oshawa, where after raising her family, she began working along side her husband at the Dutch Credit Union. She continued to work there until her retirement in 1987. Even after retirement Janny was often found working on different projects, her handmade work, including her knitting and needlepoint, will always be cherished by her family. Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, on Sunday March 14, 2010 from 2-4 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday March 15th, 2010 at 11 am. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Society.

In her 73rd year Past President of the C.W.L. St. Joseph’s R.C.C. Peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday July 6, 2010. Beloved wife of Richard. Dear mother Gerard (Debbie), Corine, Henriette, Jaci (Tim) French and Monique. Loving Oma of Erin, Shawna, Kyle, Liam, Isaac and Caleb. Cherished sister of Bill, Martin, John and Jane. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives in Canada and abroad. Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, on Friday July 9, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Parish Prayers will be held at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST.
